GCP's Global Content Player – the navigation bars, formatting, and overall packaging around the actual content – is loved by our clients for being user-friendly, extremely functional, and highly accessible.

Here are some key features of the GCP Global Content Player.

Easy to understand. The design of the player is intuitive, and navigation appears in the same place on every page of every course. Plus, with obvious visual cues and titles that appear when navigation is rolled over, there's no need for extensive computer experience to feel comfortable with the training.

Step-by-step tutorial and help features. Most often used by first-time learners, our narrated tutorial provides users with a guided tour of GCP's navigation and course features. And the help button, available on every page, offers detailed information on all topics related to the course. Assistance is always just a click away.

Clutter-free, feature-rich interface. The Global Content Player makes efficient use of the screen area to include user controls for audio volume, an integrated course progress bar (showing where learners are in the course), a timekeeper that lets learners see how much time they've spent in a course, a replay button so learners can review what they've learned, and a customizable “policy” button so learners can see whatever screen-specific supplemental materials you designate.

Flexibility/Portability. All GCP courses integrate seamlessly with SCORM/AICC-compliant Learning Management Systems, play on CD-ROM, and run straight from the web or your intranet without an LMS.

Fast, lean design. In order to make our courses run as efficiently as possible, you won't find any extra “fluff” in our courseware. Our files sizes are remarkably small, typically under 200k per screen. We refuse to burden your learners with the frustration and disruption of waiting for content to download. Exact times vary based on your internal capacities, but even with a dial-up modem, it should never take more than a couple seconds for the next screen of content to appear.

Testing Customization. All GCP courses assess mastery with lesson quizzes. The testing functions are fully customizable; in under 15 minutes, training managers can:

adjust the number of questions presented in each quiz and ensure that different questions are asked on subsequent attempts
add a pre-test so employees can prove mastery without having to sit through the content
add a post-test to further ensure comprehension and retention
adjust pass thresholds to your company's standards (default is set at 80%)

Navigation Customization. By default, learners can navigate freely in the course, previewing what's to come, returning to completed sections to review, or taking any route they choose. In less than 15 minutes, training managers can apply "gating" to the course so that learners are tied to a linear path through the training. This is especially helpful when training regulations include a seat time requirement.

Policy link option. We make it easy to add links to external materials on any screen in any course. With no technical training and in a matter of minutes, you can add contextual access to company policies, printable checklists or work aids … or any other online media you choose. It's quick, easy and, doesn't cost an extra cent.

Unbranded. There's no visible GCP branding on any of our courses ... or our course certificates. But it's easy to add a logo to the certificate to make the content feel more specific to your organization (even you if don't add other personalized content).
