Why you should attend

In a world filled with growing responsibilities both at work and in the home, individuals are finding increasing challenges when practicing stress management skills. A recent survey noted that more than 50% of workers spend more than 40 hours a week at work. Many are overworked and overextended trying to earn a good living, while taking care of self and others. With so much stress and adversity in today's workplace and in life, success is often elusive.

Finding stress that cannot be managed easily isn't tough these days. Too often workers are so stressed and burned out that it's difficult to make lasting changes, as many are barely keeping afloat.  If you are a manager or director, not only are you receiving stress from upper management. You may also experience the high challenge of managing others who are overstressed and/or burned out. This view of being "sandwiched" between two levels is all too common in workplace managers. Other worker positions carry enormous stress, such as the CEO, owner or board member who shoulders a great deal of responsibility and stress on a daily basis.

One of the most common stressors for CEO's is managing worry over having to reduce the quality of life in a worker through reducing work hours, decreasing pay, or even laying workers off due to financial issues in the company. Productivity and work place conflict are other sources of stress that can lead to organizational gridlock and/or poor company morale. When such issues arise in your organization, many struggle to understand how to find solutions right for their organization to bounce back and grow. The list of issues triggering workplace stress looms even longer. Discover a new approach to stress management that is changing old methods which long kept people in the same dark and negative cycle of keeping one's head above water while trying not to drown in stress.

This training aims to establish a foundation for building a solid and long-term effective program for sustainable stress management and burnout prevention. Workers in all positions, at any level, and in most industries will benefit from this training.
